How to Add Canon Printer - MacOS

1. Firstly, go to your System Settings > Printers & Scanners and REMOVE any Canon printers.

2. Navigate to the Download Driver page >>CLICK HERE<< and ensure the correct macOS is selected - you should be on be macOS 15. (See image, first arrow)

Download the Driver by clicking the Download button. (See image, second arrow)



4. Open the “Finder” applicaFon and navigate to the “Downloads” folder and double-click the “mac-psv41719-01.dmg” file.

5. Double-click “Canon_PS_Installer.pkg” to run the installation.



6. Click through the installation and then at the end move the file to the trash.





7. Click the “Apple” icon at the top left of the screen and then click “System Settings”.




8. Click “Printers & Scanners”.



9. Follow the steps below and view images below:

1. Click the “ Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax ” button.

2. Click the “Globe” icon at the top of the screen.

3. Type in the IP address of the Printer: 192.168.2.146

4. Click the “Protocol” dropdown menu and choose “Line Printer Daemon”.

5. Give the Printer a name: Canon Printer – 1st Floor

6. Click the dropdown “Select Software”.  Another window will pop up.

6i. Type in the model of the printer “C3826 ” and then select “ Canon iR-ADV C3826 PS “ from the list.

6ii. Click “OK”.

7. Click “Add”.

Note: if you want to you can add a location use: Brighton HQ
