1. First Check you have the Company portal app installed. (If you do not, please contact your IT team)
2. If you do, open it and make sure you are signed in (this will be with your office365 login, same as your email)
3. If you are signed in, you will be met with a page that says your device name. (See image below)
1. First go to System Settings. You can do this by clicking the apple icon in the top left and clicking system settings in the drop down.
2. Here search for FileVault, Under the Privacy & Security section. If File Vault says "Turn Off" Click it.
You will want to turn it off because if it is not showing in company portal that means it is being stored somewhere else.
3. You will need to enter the Password you use to unlock your device.
4. Confirm by clicking Turn Off Encryption
5. Next You will want to turn it back on. Doing this will resave it into the correct location.
6. You will need to enter the password you use to unlock your laptop.
7. Here it will ask if you are happy for your recovery key to be stored in the microsoft mange portal. Click Continue.
8. After this it will encrypt for a few seconds.
9. Open up your company portal app, click the 3 dots and click Check status.
10. Once that has completed, click the 3 dots again and click Refresh Device.
11. Then force quit company portal. Do this by right clicking/ two finger clicking then pressing Quit.
12. To find your recovery key go to https://portal.manage.microsoft.com/ or your company portal app that is installed on your device. You will need to sign in with the same login you use for your email and all other office365 applications.
13. Once signed in scroll down to Device encryption and click Get recovery key. Then confirm you see a code.
