Single

To connect a single monitor you will need to first make sure the laptop is plugged in and turned on. If your laptop does not have a HDMI port you will need to collect an adapter from your IT team. This adapter should connect the HDMI cable from the monitor to the USBC port on your laptop.

Once the monitor is plugged into the laptop the screen should connect automatically. The screens may not appear in the correct order. To resolve this go to the apple symbol in the top left corner --> system settings --> Displays and then click "Arrange...". You can then click and drag the monitor to the correct position.

Dual

To connect two monitors to your device, you will need a Display Link Docking Station. If you do not have one of these you can contact IT. You will then need to install this software https://www.synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads make sure to select the correct installer for your operating system. eg macOS for an apple device.

Plug the two HDMI cables into the back of each monitor, then into the back of the Docking Station. Make sure the Docking Station is turned on, there is a switch on the back and a blue light on the front to indicate it is on. Once the app has installed make sure to open it to make sure it is running. Plug one end of the USBC cable into the back of the Docking Station and the other into your device.

The screens may not appear in the correct order. To resolve this go to the apple symbol in the top left corner --> system settings --> Displays and then click "Arrange...". You can then click and drag the monitor to the correct position.

The Display Link app will need to be opened most times after plugging your laptop in or the screens will not work.
