Modified on Tue, 18 Feb at 12:55 PM

What does the Phish Alert Button Do?

This Button will send the email in an EML file of the suspected email directly to itqueries@thegelbottle.com. It is an easy way for you to report suspected phishing/scam emails. We then receive the email and can quickly view and block if necessary.

How to Add the Button

1. Open your Outlook App, on your tool bar click the 3 dots to “See more items”

2. Then, on the drop down, click “Customise Toolbar”

3. Click and drag the new Phish Alert Button from the right-hand column to the top darker grey bar. Place it where you would like it to appear on your tool bar.

Once you click done the new Phish Alert Button will appear in your tool bar.

How to Use the Phish Alert Button

If you have clicked on an email which looks suspicious, click on the button in your tool bar.

A pop up will appear on the right of your screen asking if you are sure you would like to Report this as a phishing email. Click Yes please and this will send the email directly to itqueries@thegelbottle.com for us to review.
